Statement

Through my writing, handmade publications, and stage adaptations, I explore the profound ways narratives shape our understanding of personal and collective histories. My practice is deeply rooted in archival and collections research, as well as non-fiction writing and interviews, which allow me to uncover overlooked stories and amplify voices that often go unheard.

I am particularly interested in how diverse mediums can shape and deepen the impact of a story. Whether it’s crafting a book by hand to reflect intimacy, curating exhibitions to transform narratives into immersive visual experiences, or adapting stories for the stage to amplify collective voices, my work seeks to bring forward voices that often remain unheard. Through curation, I explore how spatial and sensory elements can enrich storytelling, inviting audiences to engage with narratives in thoughtful and dynamic ways. By blending personal experiences with broader cultural contexts, I aim to create works that resonate with the universal while celebrating the deeply specific.

My artistic inquiry is also driven by a fascination with how archival materials and personal histories intersect. By delving into collections and conducting interviews, I uncover hidden or forgotten narratives, questioning whose histories are preserved and whose are marginalized. This approach informs both my non-fiction writing and my creative works. My goal is to create spaces—both physical and narrative—where stories can inspire, connect, and transform.
